Live Performance
- A live performance is a concert (typically of music) before an audience.
Theatre
- A branch of the performing arts. Any performance may be considered theatre; however, as a performing art, theatre focuses almost exclusively on live performers creating a self-contained drama.

Multi-media Presentations
- Multimedia presentations may be viewed by person on stage, projected, transmitted, or played locally with a media player. A laser show is an example of a Mulit-media Presentation.
Indoor Venues
- An enclosed area for performance
Outdoor Venues
- Examples of outdoor venues include bandstands and bandshells; such outdoor venues provide minimal shelter for performing musicians and are usually located in parks. A temporary music festival is typically an outdoor venue.
